First Things First: a (very) few generalizations about music

1. Music is...
         often complicated--and that can be a good thing

         and it's often simple--in a complicated way--and that good too

2. Music can be a Call to Action--you hear a certain tune and react:

Sometimes this "action" is a Call to Understanding or Call to Change:

3. Music usually has a pulse and the speed of this pulse changes you. If the speed of the pulse (beat) of music increases or decreases this changes you. Also when there is NO PULSE, this changes you also.

4.  Music has a personality and the "personality" of the music has a tendency to alter or change our per personality.

5. Music is vibrations and vibrations--and vibration combinations--change you. These sounds, these vibrations, can be memorable melody that moves us or no melody at all.  It's a composers art and we are moved by the results. These viabrations are strung together and we are moved emotionally when we hear them.

6. Music enhances the story...sometimes TELLS the story. Music allowes us to add our own emiotions to a level that simply telling the story could never do.
